There was a whole evening of music planned in this hairdressing salon and if it was half as good as Lara Kroon, I’d found a new favourite place to be. Judging by the slick look of the event, these guys are serious movers in the Dutch scene. Guys in Rockstone fleeces filmed the sets whilst others convivially chatted. I shook hands with Mark, the jovial compere for the evening. Rockstone was his baby and the passion he had for under-the-radar new music shone through.

They’ve certainly got a new fan in me. I’ll write about some of the other fabulous acts on their bill another time. For now, I have more live music to see.
